History

The Shore Club was originally founded in 1916 as the Wildwood Golf and Country Club, featuring a homemade, nine-hole course that opened for play in 1918. In 1922, Wayne E. Stiles, in conjunction with John Van Kleek, designed and built the current 18-hole course. There have been several upgrades over the years, including the addition of two new holes designed by Brian Ault, but the Stiles design influence remains the same.

In December of 2017, a group of Members joined together to re-establish the club as The Shore Club and create a premier private destination that would serve modern golfers and families and offer the finest social experience on the Jersey Shore.

Today, The Shore Club offers golf, pickleball, bocce, private indoor/outdoor dining along with year-round social gatherings, weddings, member-guest events, fundraisers and tournaments.

We are proud to have built a legacy of being the ideal place to bring family, friends or business associates for an enjoyable day of golf, relaxation and fine dining.
